A new project funded by the FRDC is encouraging recreational fishers from Queensland to take part in an online survey that will help inform how stocks of snapper and pearl perch may be rebuilt in the state.
A 2019 assessment by the Queensland Government’s Department of Agriculture and Fisheries found that the state’s snapper and pearl perch stock had stock levels under the nationally recommended 20% original biomass level.
