Official Shark Report: QLD – BARGARA. 18:45, 30 Nov 19, Bite, A man has escaped with minor injuries after a shark bit him during an evening swim on the central Queensland coast.
The man, aged in his 30s, was snorkelling at Bargara, 13 kilometres east of Bundaberg, when he was bitten just after 7pm.
Paramedics said the man had “minor lacerations” to his foot from the bite. He also suffered chest injuries from being smacked by the shark.
He was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
