Barotrauma is a potentially fatal condition for fish, which mainly affects fish caught in water deeper than 20 metres. ???????? If you unintentionally catch a snapper or pearl perch during the closure, it is important to handle the fish correctly, de-hook it, and release it as soon as possible to give the fish the best chance of survival. Snapper may need to be treated for barotrauma, but generally not pearl perch. More information can be found here ???????? https://bit.ly/30CiMCW
