NHS Lanarkshire says emergency departments are “exceptionally busy”.
NHS Lanarkshire hospitals are now treating more coronavirus patients than during the first peak of the pandemic.
In a video posted to the NHS Lanarkshires social media channels last night it stated that they are currently treating more than 200 patients with confirmed Covid-19.
In the Facebook post, the health board said: We are currently treating more patients for Covid-19 in our hospitals than we were at the height of the first wave of the pandemic.
