Irish ‘royal’ con artist uses dead daughter’s photo to raise $16,000 on donation site – 9Honey

A devastated man has detailed how his ex-wife faked her status as Irish royalty and used a photo of their dead daughter to scam donors out of $16,000 ($22,560 AUD).
Jeff Welch said he felt “sick to his stomach” after learning what his con-artist ex-wife Mair Smyth had done to procure the funds on a fake GoFundMe page.
