COVID-19 patients who are sick enough to be hospitalized are likely to have high levels of antibodies that can protect against the disease and maybe the best donors for convalescent plasma therapy, according to a study. The research, published on Monday in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, also found that older males who have recovered from COVID-19 after having been hospitalized are strong candidates for donating plasma.
