Pokémon Go adds facemasks, Verizon-exclusive event – Polygon
Niantic adds facemasks to Pokémon Go’s in-game style shop, and Verizon customers are getting a special event on Nov. 7 with some nice bonuses.

Months after changing Pokémon Go to make the game more playable during the coronavirus pandemic and subsequently walking some of those changes back developer Niantic is giving players the option of wearing a protective mask in-game, as they should be doing in real life while playing in public. Facemasks are now available, for free, from Pokémon Gos in-game style shop.
