Australian shares to slide at the open as Wal St slumps, as the virus surges and stimulus talks drag on. Atlassian resets record high.

Separately, the COVID-19 pandemic appears to be worsening. Morgan Stanley said it now expects at least 10 million Americans to catch the virus by mid-November; Johns Hopkins University has the case tally at 8.1 million.
Not helping sentiment, President Trump went on a rant against Dr Anthony Fauci on a campaign conference call with reporters earlier this morning and he also took to twitter to lash out at the top US infectious disease expert.
