Preliminary results show China’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate is safe: The Lancet
A Chinese COVID-19 vaccine candidate based on the inactivated whole SARS-CoV-2 virus is safe and elicits an antibody response. This is the result of a small, randomized, early-stage clinical trial published Thursday in the Lancet Infectious Diseases Journal.The most recent study included participants between the ages of 18 and 80 and found that antibody responses were induced in all recipients.
