10,000 year old footprints show the journey of a young toddler…

More than 10,000 years ago, a woman on the playa of what is now New Mexico set the toddler she was carrying on her waist on a journey, readjusted it, picked up the child and set off again. Remnants of this all-too-human moment are preserved on a trail in White Sands National Park the worlds longest late Pleistocene double human trail. With a length of 1.5 kilometers, the route saves a round trip that a single adult and a child under 2 years of age can cover in a very short time.
