A European-Japanese spaceship was just passing Venus on its long, winding road to Mercury, making some excellent views. BepiColombo was launched in October 2018 and is expected to arrive in Mercury in 2025. However, to get there, it must first complete a series of nine gravity-assisted flybys one from Earth, two from Venus, and six from Mercury before finally going into orbit the innermost planet in the solar system.
