Former AC/DC bass guitarist Paul Matters dies: ‘He will be missed by all who knew him’ – 9TheFIX
Former AC/DC bass guitarist Paul Matters has died.
Matters played with the rock band in 1975 before he was reportedly fired by late lead singer Bon Scott.
Weeks later, he was replaced by Mark Evans and was believed to have quit music shortly after the ordeal. In 1977, Evans was fired by the band replaced by Cliff Williams.
News of his death was confirmed by his friend Rod Wescombe on Facebook, saying, “Shocked and sad to hear of the passing of Paul Matters.”
