2022 Volkswagen Taos compact SUV launches in US – Drive
The compact SUV will serve as the unofficial replacement for the Volkswagen Golf in North America, however it is unlikely to be offered in Australia.

Set to slot into the line-up below the Tiguan, the model will effectively serve as an unofficial replacement for the standard Golf in North America.
Power is derived from a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 117kW and 249Nm.
Offered in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, power is sent to the road via an eight-speed automatic or seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.
