Which new Covid-19 lockdown tier is Tamworth in? – Birmingham Live
“Complacency is Covid-19’s biggest friend and the consequences of not sticking to the rules are now in our own hands.”
Areas of Staffordshire and north Warwickshire bordering Birmingham are in the lowest tier of coronavirus restrictions.
Both Tamworth and north Warwickshire are in the medium category – raising questions as to whether people in nearby areas with tighter rules may flood in to skirt the rules on households gathering.
Alan White, Staffordshire County Councils leader, said: Covid-19 is tightening its grip everywhere, including in Staffordshire where cases are rising fast in parts of the county.
