Damaged muscles don’t just die, they regenerate – Global Health News…

Factors (DMDFs) emerging from the injured muscle fiber activate rapidly dormant satellite cells, which then enter the preparatory phase for proliferation (G1 phase). Subsequently, through stimulation of growth factors produced by immune cells and stromal cells that infiltrate the injured area, satellite cells enter the S phase and multiply. It is believed that DMDFs are the mechanism that activates satellite cells and enables rapid muscle recovery after injury.
