Perpetual’s Paul Skamvougeras, one of the most powerful fundies in the market, put his name to a letter last Friday, which saw the “friendly” Carlyle and PEP consortium return to Carapiet with a firmer offer. Link disclosed the bid on Monday morning, knowing its biggest shareholder had been crossed.
The old dogs don’t stop with PEP’s Cameron Blanks, who is again overseeing his firm’s potential Link investment, and Carapiet.
