The Bexley man had been working reduced hours in the coronavirus-decimated industry, putting strain on his mortgage.
He says he is breathing a sigh of relief after discovering he had won the $1.2 million division one prize over the weekend.
I work at the airport and since COVID-19 Ive only been able to work one or two days a week, which has been hard, he said.
