A COVID-19 vaccine could be ready by Christmas but no one will have a clue if it really works until its tested on a large portion of the population, according to leading Irish experts.
The UKs former Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt, who now chairs a committee probing their management of the pandemic, said yesterday he was very confident the treatment would be in place by the festive period.
