Another 15 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Newport on Wednesday, as Wales hit its highest ever number of daily cases for the second day in a row.
Figures from Public Health Wales (PHW) on Wednesday, October 7 saw 752 new lab-confirmed cases recorded, with three deaths also confirmed.
Newport’s rate of infection per 100,000 people was 53 – up on the previous day – but behind the likes of Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf, which are much higher.
