Elton John has opened up about his incredible friendship with John Lennon in a candid interview with the Beatles stars son Sean.
John Lennon was fatally shot outside his New York apartment in 1980. Had he lived, he would have turned 80 this year.
To mark the occasion, the BBC has produced a series of interviews with friends who knew him well.
Elton told Sean Ono Lennon he first met Lennon in 1973.
