Tesla Autopilot criticised in Euro NCAP ratings – WhichCar
Mercedes, BMW, Audi score high, while Tesla cops ‘half marks’
Euro NCAP, the European equivalent to vehicle safety rating organisation ANCAP, has released a report grading car manufacturers on their assisted driving technologies, and has specifically criticised a major aspect of Teslas Autopilot system.
While the Mercedes-Benz GLE, the BMW 3 Series, and the Audi Q8 all represented their respective brands and scored the maximum Very Good rating, Euro NCAP gave the Tesla Model 3 only a Moderate score, the second of four possible scores.
