The Honey I Shrunk the Kids star was able to take himself to hospital as police still search for the man accused of punching him.
Actor Rick Moranis, who starred in Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Ghostbusters, has been hospitalised after being punched in broad daylight.
The New York Police Department said they are searching for a man after another man was assaulted on Central Park West in Manhattan on Thursday about 7.24am.
Video shows the man punching a man on the footpath before walking off. The victim is seen falling to the ground.
Moraniss management confirmed the 67-year-old was the victim of the attack.
