US shares gain on surprisingly strong jobs rebound; ASX follows – ABC News
US shares post solid gains as the latest jobs figures show nearly 5 million Americans were rehired over the month of June, pushing unemployment down to 11.1 per cent.
The Australian share market has followed Wall Street higher in early trade after a stronger-than-expected rebound in US jobs boosted Wall Street overnight.
