Thiess has secured a $340 million contract extension with Glencore to provide mining services at the Mt Owen coal operations in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales.

Thiess has secured a $340 million contract extension with Glencore to provide mining services at the Mt Owen coal operations in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
The 18-month extension will lengthen Thiess time at the Mt Owen mine since 1994 when it built the mine complex.
The Mt Owen mine processes up to 15 million tonnes a year of run-of-mine coal.
