The Federal Court has heard that Qantas was eight to 10 weeks from going broke had it continued to operate at full capacity.
The Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association (ALAEA) has taken the airline to the Federal Court after 333 Qantas and 113 Jetstar maintenance engineers were stood down for one month earlier in the year.
