Max King’s tackle drew the ire of commentators and the NRL match review committee has taken swift action in the lead-up to the finals series.

Melbourne’s Max King has been referred straight to the judiciary for a hip-drop tackle which had commentators seething and even prompted Greg Alexander to claim there was “an intent to injure”.
The NRL’s match review committee has ordered the 23-year-old to front the judiciary on Tuesday night after he was placed on report for the incident during the first half of the Storm’s loss to St George Illawarra on Sunday.
