Valtteri Bottas has taken advantage of two time penalties to Lewis Hamilton to win the Russian Grand Prix ahead of Max Verstappen.

The Mercedes driver led the race as soon as Hamilton pitted to serve his punishment, with Verstappen in his rear-view mirror for the entirety of the race in Sochi.
Hamilton, who was searching for his 91st race win to equal the record set by Michael Schumacher, fought his way back through the field but ultimately needed to settle for third as the chequered flag was raised.
