The number of confirmed novel coronavirus cases worldwide increased by 2.2 million in the past seven days, to more than 32.2 million or 0.4% of the Earth’s total population, Trend reports citing TASS.
The number of the so-called active cases – patients who are currently infected – continues to rise rapidly, increasing by about 500,000 this week. Active cases account for 23.3% of the overall case count.
