Destiny 2 Beyond Light will shrink the game’s install size as compared to now, but it comes with a catch in that the entire game will need to be re-downloaded in November.
Developer Bungie recently confirmed that Beyond Light‘s install size will be reduced by 30-40% — or between 59-71GB, depending on the platform — as a result of a combination of culling unused or replaced content, optimisations and the removal of some content to the Destiny Content Vault.
