ASX dips 0.8pc as tech selling spreads and gold miners slide – The Australian Financial Review
The ASX dropped on Thursday, with technology stocks weighed down by another sharp pullback in the US technology sector and gold stocks also under pressure.

The downbeat tech mood spread to Australia, where Zip fell 5 per cent to $5.93 and Nearmap lost 4.2 per cent to $2.26.
Afterpay slid 5.8 per cent to $74.14 after it said chief financial officer Luke Bortoli is set to leave after three years in the job as the buy now pay later provider shakes up its senior management ranks.
Mr Bortoli will be succeeded by Rebecca Lowde, who has been chief executive of Salmat for three years and was CFO prior to that. She starts on October 6.
