Sam Walsh claims another award to beat Connor Rozee for AFLCA’s best young player – Fox Sports
Carlton young star Sam Walsh can add another award to his growing trophy cabinet after he comprehensively took out the AFL Coaches’ Association’s best young player honour.

An award where the winners efforts are recognised across a two-year period, Walsh polled 64 votes from the 18 AFL coaches during the 2019 and 2020 seasons to take out the honour ahead of Port Adelaides Connor Rozee (33 votes) and young gun Bulldog Bailey Smith (27).
Walsh was one of Carltons most dynamic players this season, particularly during the back-half of the season.
