‘He just couldn’t refuse’: The $1m reason why star free agent Zac Williams left GWS – but it could spark a Blues ‘salary cap issue’ – Fox Sports
Outgoing Giant Zac Williams “couldn’t refuse” offers from rival clubs, according to AFL 360 co-host Mark Robinson, due to the significant dollar chasm between what they and the Giants were prepared to give the gun utility.

Williams on Monday became the second Giant in seven days to inform the club of his intention to exercise his free agency rights, following in the footsteps of Aidan Corr.
Multiple clubs, including North Melbourne, Essendon and Carlton, have been circling the speedy, versatile player for months. But it emerged on Monday the Blues were in the best position to secure Williams services and he could nominate them as his preferred club as early as Tuesday.
