The NBA’s comeback kids couldn’t get over the line on Monday (AEST) as the Denver Nuggets dropped into a 2-0 series hole against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
They got mighty close, though, before Anthony Davis closed the door in stunning fashion.
Trailing by as many as 16 points in the third quarter, the Nuggets brought it all the way back and led with 2.1 seconds in the fourth, before the Los Angeles big man drained a buzzer-beating three to steal a 105-103 win.
