Porte seals podium place as Pogacar rides to Tour de France victory – Sydney Morning Herald
Richie Porte has become the first Australian since Cadel Evans to make the podium in the Tour de France’s general classification after crossing the line to secure third place in Paris.
Bennett became the first Irishman since Sean Kelly in 1989 to win the green jersey for the points classification.
It was an anti-climatic finale on the Champs-Élysées as only 5000 fans were allowed on the famous avenue as a precaution against the coronavirus.
