Canadian actress Catherine O’Hara has won the Emmy for best actress in a comedy series for her role as Moira Rose, the haughty matriarch, in the television series Schitt’s Creek (available to watch in Australia on Netflix).
Moira’s accent, eccentricity and wardrobe (plus an impressive wig collection) has made her a fan favourite and O’Hara’s portrayal caught the eye of TV academy members, and the show itself is up for 15 awards.
