‘Things didn’t quite go to plan’: Veteran Giant announces retirement from AFL – Fox Sports
Veteran ruckman Sam Jacobs has called time on his career, ending his contract a year early to retire from the game after over 200 matches across three clubs.
Jacobs and the Giants on Saturday confirmed the big man had decided he wouldnt play on in 2021, despite being contracted for next year.
It means Jacobs career games tally finishes at 208 across 14 seasons with Carlton, Adelaide and the Giants.
