T. Rex Skeleton up for Auction for $6-8 Million – Nerdist
Stan, the fifth-most-complete T. rex skeleton ever found, is set to be auctioned off for somewhere between $6,000,000 and $8,000,000.

Renowned auction house Christie’s has announced it will soon auction off one of the most complete T. rex skeletons in the world. The T. rex skeleton, referred to as “Stan,” is gargantuan, measuring 37 feet long and 13 feet tall. Its estimated selling price? Somewhere in the range of six to eight million dollars.
Smithsonian Magazine reported on Stan’s upcoming auction, which will take place on October 6 in New York. That name, Christie’s notes, comes from the skeleton’s discoverer, Stan Sacriso…
