Forget your auld acquaintances: plan for small NYE, Xmas parties – Sydney Morning Herald
Party planners have been told to keep their Christmas and New Year’s eve celebrations to a maximum of 20 people, as the NSW Premier warned to prepare for the “worst-case scenario”.

Public Health Orders allow for a maximum of 20 people to gather outside in a public place or visit a home.
“I would ask everybody to assume the current health orders will be in place, that’s the worst-case scenario,” Ms Berejiklian said, confirming the state government was discussing options for Christmas and New Year’s Eve events with the City of Sydney council.
