Gas-led recovery a crime against humanity, planet – Sydney Morning Herald
The Prime Minister’s attachment to the gas-led recovery catchphrase is a dumb backward step for the nation and will be divisive.
The Coalition is taking the nation on the laziest, most environmentally irresponsible path possible with its blockbuster “gas-led recovery”. It is not surprising, given that its advisory team is skewed towards the mining, chemicals and plastics industries. But it shows a breathtaking denial of the climate change that brought devastating bushfires to Australia last summer and, right now, to the west coast of the US. Rob Firth, Cremorne Point
