Michael Rodd is in line to ride Superstorm in Saturday’s Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield if fellow WA star Showmanship gains a start in the Group 1 feature.
Showmanship, the $3.50 Rupert Clarke favourite with the TAB, is likely to sneak into the final field but isn’t guaranteed a start because of his rating of 98.
Racing Victoria chief handicapper Greg Carpenter said Showmanship’s rating could have him on the borderline of making the final field.
