Dylan Alcott could not add to the quad doubles title he had already won at this years US Open after the Australian fell in the singles final to Sam Schroder on the last day of play at Flushing Meadows.
The Australian was seeking to claim his third US Open singles crown but, having roared back to level the match against the Dutch player at one set all, he dropped the decider to lose 7-6 (7-5), 0-6, 6-4.
