The Covid-19 reproduction rate in the UK is now between 1 and 1.2 meaning the virus is now spreading exponentially. In London, the figure is higher, sitting between 1.1 and 1.3.
The latest statistics from the Government Office for Science and the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), released on 11 September, show that the novel coronavirus is spreading again in the country after a lower caseload during the summer.
