This rapid COVID test gets results in 15 minutes but it’s not for everyone – Sydney Morning Herald
Around NSW 37 laboratories can perform the rapid tests, but not everyone can have one.

NSW Health Pathology’s Director of Public Health Pathology, Professor Dominic Dwyer, said they were an accurate and important part of the state’s testing capability, but a global shortage meant the supply needed to be carefully managed.
“For the rapid ones, given both their cost and their scarcity, we vet all of those requests for those tests,” Professor Dwyer said.
“That means they’re not wasted, and they’re reserved, really, for people who do need it quickly.”
