Former New South Wales Premier John Fahey has died aged 75.
Fahey served as premier between 1992 and 1995 before moving on to federal politics.
One of his most famous moments came in 1994, when a man rushed Prince Charles with a starters pistol on Australia Day.
Fahey tackled him to the ground after the man, David Kang, fired two blank shots at the royal.
He also played an instrumental role in the bidding process for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
