The Australian sharemarket notched up its fourth consecutive weekly decline as stocks fell to an 11-week low on Friday.
The S&P/ASX Index fell 49.1 per cent, or 0.8 per cent, too 5859.4 points on Friday, delivering a weekly loss of 1.1 per cent. The four week stretch of declines is the longest since a losing streak that ran from late February to late March.
