‘A real tragedy’: Benji’s Leichhardt Tigers fairytale farewell dashed by junior sport – Sydney Morning Herald
The Inner West Council wants Benji Marshall to be allowed to leave the NRL’s biosecurity bubble early so the Tigers great can have a proper hero’s farewell at Leichhardt Oval.

Should the Tigers miss the finals, Marshall must remain in the club’s ‘bubble’ for three days, a requirement explained to all 16 NRL clubs this week.
But Inner West Council Mayor Darcy Byrne wants Marshall to be given an early mark so he can join the young fans and players on the Sunday at Leichhardt Oval.
