By the time Kenneth Hayne’s royal commission got around to investigating the Commonwealth Bank’s CommInsure scandal in which the bank was accused of unfairly dudding policyholders of worthy claims through tightly worded contracts the executive in charge had been gone (with a $4 million payout) for the better part of a year.
