QBE’s chairman Mike Wilkins has set a new high water for responding to code of conduct breaches.
Not only did Regan depart immediately after the board had seen the results of a legal investigation into the incident that had been reported by the female staffer, but on Wednesday he was paid out just over $300,000 plus legal entitlements like holiday and long service leave.
That might not seem like a penance to most, but in the corporate world this is a pittance for an executive that last year earned $4.4 million.
