Hospital cluster grows to 12 cases as further venue alerts issued – Sydney Morning Herald
Five new cases were added to the Sydney hospitals cluster and investigations continue into the source of the infections.
“Investigation into the cause of these infections is ongoing,” Dr Chant said.
The two healthcare staff worked while potentially infectious, Dr Chant said, but both reported having no symptoms while on shift and wore personal protective equipment while caring for patients.
Dr Chant said there had been a “thorough response” to the outbreak at both Concord and Liverpool hospitals and urged people to attend either hospital if they needed urgent treatment.
