Austrian scientists are continuing their research into making vegan and CO2-neutral leather from fungi in a biologically and environmentally friendly way.
Leather has been fashioned out of animal skin for centuries. In a lot of cases, this is a by-product of meat production and is seen as such. Yet it is not only livestock farming that is becoming more and more the focus of animal, nature, and environmental conservationists.
